Middle East’s first FlowRider Triple surf simulator among 16 attractions
Grand Hyatt Dubai has opened a new 20,000-square-metre water park within the property’s 37-acre estate, featuring 16 key attractions, including high-intensity rides and dedicated family and kids’ zones. During the current exclusive opening phase, Grand Hyatt Dubai Waterpark is only open to in-house guests, with day-pass access for external visitors to follow soon. Here’s what’s on offer.
FlowRider Triple
The FlowRider Triple is the first-of-its-kind surf simulator in the region. The attraction utilises an inflatable surface technology that provides riders with softer and safer landings. With up to 12 metres of riding space, it offers beginners ample room to practice, while providing more advanced riders the capacity to manoeuvre with ease.
Boomeragno
A fan-favourite at many water parks, the Boomeragn is a high-thrill slide, which can accommodate two to six guests side-by-side and features a "zero-gravity" wall with a near 90-degree slope dropping into a steep descent.
Freefall Plus
One of the park’s most thrilling attractions is the Freefall Plus, which launches riders down a slide at high speed from an enclosed space before opening up as the descent begins.

Parallel Pursuit
The park also includes towers that feature dual-rides, where guests can ride down different attractions adjacent to each other, such as the Parallel Pursuit, where riders go down head-first on mats. With a side-by-side configuration and low wall separators, this slide lets you race against other riders.
Aqua Twist
Another dual-ride, the Aqua Twist comprises two slides wrapped around each other, offering riders a fast whirling descent.
Leisure Facilities
Overlooking the city skyline, the park’s wave pool is accompanied by a sand beach. Built using pneumatic technology, the pool offers gentle, relaxing wave patterns. There are also plunge pools and private cabanas, and the lazy river – complete with a waterfall feature – gives guests a chance to enjoy views of the park and surrounding urban landscapes.

Family Facilities
At the heart of the property is the family zone, with shaded loungers and additional slides descending into a large pool. A Splash Planet water playground for kids is also set in this area, offering a variety of interactive play features, including a tipping bucket, which showers guests at intervals, and a mini multi-lane slide for younger guests.

Beyond the Rides
In addition to the water park, Grand Hyatt also unveiled new restaurant La Palma. Alongside the restaurant, multiple food stalls throughout the park also provide refreshments.
Fathi Khogaly, Managing Director of Grand Hyatt Dubai and Area Vice President of Hyatt, Dubai, said: “The opening of our new water park marks a significant milestone for Grand Hyatt Dubai, as it elevates our leisure offerings and transforms the property into a truly unique destination, where large-scale events, exceptional hospitality and unforgettable leisure experiences seamlessly come together.”
Grand Hyatt Dubai, built in 2003, is a family-friendly resort that has operated for more than 20 years. The hotel brand currently operates 12 properties in the UAE and continues to expand across the Middle East, reporting an 8% year-on-year growth in 2025’s second quarter.
