Service to run from 26 June to 24 October 2026
UAE national carrier Etihad Airways is set to launch seasonal flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh, responding to strong passenger demand across one of its key diaspora markets.
The four-times weekly service will operate between Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) from 26 June to 24 October 2026, with flights now available for booking.
The route marks the airline’s return to the Bangladeshi capital following a suspension in 2023, now reintroduced as a seasonal service to meet peak travel demand.
Outbound flights will run on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, departing Abu Dhabi at 22:00 and arriving in Dhaka at 04:50 the following day. The return leg will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, departing Dhaka at 21:35 and landing in Abu Dhabi at 00:40.

Flights will be operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, featuring 28 Business and 374 Economy seats, supporting both point-to-point travel and onward connections via Abu Dhabi. The route is expected to serve UAE–Bangladesh traffic, including a large expatriate population, while supporting onward connections to markets including the UK, Italy and North America.
Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Dhaka is a strategically important market, with strong and sustained demand across both passenger and cargo segments.”
The widebody aircraft will also provide additional cargo capacity to support trade flows between Bangladesh and global markets.
Dhaka remains a major South Asian centre, known for its dense population, vibrant street life and historic landmarks dating back to the 17th century.
The launch forms part of Etihad’s broader network expansion, with new routes planned for 2026 including Mallorca, Luxembourg and Calgary.
