Luxury property in Doha set to open mid-2026
IHG Hotels & Resorts will expand its luxury lifestyle portfolio in the region with the mid-2026 opening of Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, a 283-key property that will mark the boutique lifestyle brand’s debut in Qatar and its third hotel in the Middle East.
The new Doha property will follow the openings of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh and Kimpton Dubai, joining a boutique-inspired global portfolio with an established presence in cities including London, Los Angeles, Monaco, New York and Paris.
Located in Doha’s downtown district, Kimpton Al Rowda will be within easy reach of Souq Waqif, the National Museum of Qatar and the heritage-rich Msheireb area. True to Kimpton’s human-centered and design-led ethos, the hotel will offer a curated selection of accommodations ranging from ‘essential’ rooms to spacious suites and serviced apartments.
Positioned as a new social hub, the property will feature five distinctive dining and lounge venues, including a rooftop bar with sweeping city views. Guests can also look forward to Kimpton’s signature social hour — a daily gathering offering complimentary drinks and light bites — and the brand’s hallmark pet-friendly policy.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, IHG Hotels & Resorts – India, Middle East & Africa, said bringing Kimpton to Doha was a “milestone moment” for IHG in the Middle East, with Doha’s contrast of tradition and modernity making it the “ideal setting” for Kimpton’s intuitive, design-forward approach to hospitality.
He added that the project, a conversion of an existing property, “reimagines a prime location into a beacon of boutique luxury, offering the experience-rich stays that today’s discerning travellers seek.”
IHG introduced the Kimpton brand to the Middle East last September with the opening of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh, a 212-key property in the King Abdullah Financial District. The Riyadh hotel offers four dining venues, a rooftop pool, a fitness centre and flexible meeting spaces. The upcoming Kimpton Dubai in Business Bay will feature 280 rooms, three dining concepts, a rooftop pool, spa, fitness centre and seven meeting rooms.
Worldwide, Kimpton operates more than 60 hotels across 20 countries, with 47 additional properties in the global pipeline.
