Cruisetours combine coastal sailings with guided onshore adventures

Azamara Cruises has launched its 2027 Alaska Cruisetours, immersive itineraries that blend ocean sailings with guided land explorations across Alaska and Western Canada.
The new lineup follows “overwhelmingly” positive guest feedback and comes as the cruise line prepares for its return to Alaska this summer after a seven-year absence.
Designed to extend Azamara’s signature Destination Immersion experiences inland, the 2027 programmes pair the company’s 10- and 11-night Alaska sailings with four-, five- or six-night land tours. Each package includes accommodation, transport, luggage handling, guided excursions, selected meals and entrance fees within a single booking.
Cruisetours will operate from 3 June to at least 5 August 2027, depending on the chosen itinerary.
Select 2027 options also connect with transpacific sailings from northern Japan, giving travellers the chance to explore Japan before crossing the Pacific to continue through Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.

Among the highlights, the four-night Alaska Explorer Cruisetour is available before or after sailings. Guests will cruise the Chena River aboard a historic sternwheeler, pan for gold, travel in a Deluxe Dome Railcar and join the Tundra Wilderness Tour through Denali National Park. Additional experiences include a jet boat adventure in Talkeetna and cultural activities at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Two five-night itineraries showcase the dramatic scenery of the Canadian Rockies aboard the renowned Rocky Mountaineer. The post-cruise GoldLeaf Service package features dome seating, outdoor viewing platforms and visits to Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and a mountain gondola. Travellers opting for the SilverLeaf Service will enjoy panoramic window views and onboard meals served at their seats.
For those seeking a longer land experience, a six-night pre-cruise journey travels from Calgary to Vancouver, combining alpine drives through the Rockies with bear-watching from Land Rovers, regional wine tasting, and guided sightseeing in Vancouver.
