National carrier to operate more than 70 services to and from Doha
Qatar has introduced new measures to assist travellers affected by the ongoing regional conflict, including a dedicated 24/7 hotline for visitors requiring immediate support. The move comes more than 10 days after flight disruptions left more than 8,000 travellers stranded in the country.
Travellers in need of accommodation, medical aid or other tourism-related assistance can contact 106 or +974 4069921, Qatar Tourism has confirmed. For travel bookings, flight enquiries or consular matters, visitors are advised to contact their airline or embassy directly.
Aligned with initiatives seen across the GCC, including those in the UAE, Qatar has pledged to provide complimentary hotel stays and three daily meals for tourists stranded by current airspace closures. The scheme remains valid until 13 March, with potential extensions under review. The Ministry of Interior has also begun offering free one-month visa extensions for visitors, effective since 28 February. For e-visa related questions, travellers can call +974 44412022.

Flight operations are gradually resuming following the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority’s decision to open partial air corridors on 6 March. Since 7 March, Qatar Airways has been running limited commercial and relief services to and from Doha.
Between 10 and 11 March, more than 30 outbound flights are scheduled from the Qatari capital, with destinations including London Heathrow, Paris, Rome, Delhi, Toronto and Cairo. Concurrently, 41 inbound flights are expected to arrive between today and 12 March.
Repatriation efforts are also gathering pace. International authorities have facilitated land transfers to operational airports in Saudi Arabia, such as Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. In the past week alone, nearly 200 German, 90 Australian and 166 Kyrgyz nationals have been evacuated, along with other groups of stranded travellers.
